Better Than Noodles
Better Than Noodles is a PLANT BASED healthy alternative to traditional noodles. Produced from purified water and Juroat (Organic Konjac flour and Organic Oat Fiber - a water soluble fiber), Better Than Noodles naturally slows the digestion process, making you feel fuller for a longer period of time. Pre-cooked, with a 24 month shelf life and no refrigeration needed until opening, Better Than Noodles is a healthy, quick addition to any meal.
How Better Than BeganAfter 16 months of research and development, a husband and wife, both pharmacists, developed a specialized recipe including the root from Organic Konjac plants, Purified water and Organic Oat Fiber. "As a mother of two, I am constantly on the look out for healthy food alternatives. So, one day, I decided to try and make a pizza base using Glucomannan which had been presented as a weight loss ingredient. This failed terribly with the outcome being a gel-like mass, instead of pizza dough. After further research, I discovered that Glucomannan comes from a plant called Konjac, which is used to make Konjac flour. The Japanese have been using this flour to make healthier noodles for centuries.
So, in October 2010, I started what became a 16-month research and development project. I researched the few manufacturers that existed in Asia and I tried every sample I could and I hated what I tasted at first. However, by 2013 we had developed a completely new recipe called Juroat (Konjac flour and Oat fiber), which gives the noodles a better bite, a better texture and the look of real pasta and noodles."
